Cross Country Road Trip to Find High-Profit eBay Items

Rob: What’s up guys, welcome. For the next couple episodes, we wanna do something a little bit different, a little bit special. We are traveling the country right now, finding some cool stuff, seeing some really cool stuff, and we wanna pull you guys along for that experience. So we'll be doing small snippets of the trip where we're talking about what we're buying, what we're finding, what we're seeing, and we're gonna actually throw it in so you guys can follow along with us, see some of the cool stuff that we're actually doing.

And yeah, anything to add?

Melissa: No. The goal is to go up the East Coast, across the top of the US, and to see some amazing sights and fill our trailer along the way. Our- we normally, you know, average around $20,000 of inventory on these trips, so that's kind of our benchmark goal, and we'll see what we come back with when we're done.

You guys are awesome. Hopefully you enjoy this next episode

Rob: What's up, guys? Road trip take five. This is our fifth road trip that we are taking with the kids around the country. Super, super stoked about it. This is the trailer that we are taking. We have it all packed, as you can see. It's ready to go. We just got it ready to go and we're getting ready to jump in with all the kids.

My sister, my brother-in-law, we are taking them with us. That door is-

Melissa: A couple hours late, but that's all right ... yeah. We're ready to go. We have an empty, mostly empty trailer. We got enough room to bring some stuff. And we're excited.

Rob: That's it. Yep. So. We have suitcases in here. We have two spare tires.

As you can see, I have tons of tools. I could change out an engine with all the tools that I take with me on the road trip. We have straps. We have a lot of blankets, all that stuff. We have cellophane to wrap stuff if we need to. So it's ready to go. This is exactly what we need on the road when we buy stuff to get it in here.

We'll load it in here. We got plenty of room to buy all the stuff that we want to do. And

Melissa: I was gonna say too, on this, this trailer is really cool 'cause you did this the last road trip with the- I did. If you

Rob: can see all these- Yeah ... right here, these rails.

Melissa: They ratchet straps

you can,

not ratchet strap.

Or yeah. Yeah, yeah. You can strap stuff to it and put different hooks in it and then make it tight and secure and rearrange it how he goes. It's funny 'cause when we do these road trips and we'll buy stuff, and then we could buy, buy something that's one size and the next thing is a different size and he has to like play Tetris in the, in the trailer to get the most use out of it. Yep.

Before we go home. So we can make sure we fill it up and bring home. On the last road trip, we averaged around $20,000 of inventory, in about, you know, it's been 15 to 15 items typically, so. Yep.

Rob: That's it.

Melissa: So that's what our goal is, to go across the country. We have kind of a rough draft of where we're gonna go.

Usually, we go down along the lower states and go out west. This time we're going up the East Coast, and then we're gonna go out west across the top of the United States, so we'll hit some of those top ones. So we're excited about that and get some pictures. We only have a couple, we only have two states the kids haven't been, North Dakota and Alaska, but, we're not making it to Alaska this trip, but we are gonna have to stop in North Dakota and get a picture.

Ooh.

Rob: We absolutely will. We are stoked. We will keep you guys posted on all the cool stuff that we find.

Melissa: Before though, we're already starting off, you already have something on, for-

Rob: Two items, that we were supposed to pick one up today. I don't know if we'll end up making it because we got out late. I'm gonna try to set it up for tomorrow morning, but an item for $100 that we will be buying and we should be able to flip it for $3,000.

I would say $2,500 to $3,500. An average of 3,000 bucks we'll be able to sell this single item for, that we're gonna pay 100 bucks for.

Yeah, so it's about four hours away, so we'll hopefully see if we get it. And we're gonna try to keep this updated. We did a little bit better updates, on some of our other ones, so we're excited to see what we find on this road trip.

Woohoo!

Stay tuned.
